Following the broadcast of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2‘s final episode in Japan, the anime’s official website and accounts revealed that a third season is in production. A release date was not confirmed at the time of reporting.

The first season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc), who also served as series composition writer, at studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, with character designs by Sayaka Ono (BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-) and music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero AcademiaOpens in a new tab. Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi created the original manga.

Yoshihara moved into a chief director role for Season 2, while episode director Hideaki Nakano became series director.
